Grand Feasts

The grand Trajan Dining Hall sits 20 for dinner and is a spectacular setting for celebratory feasts. Our 26ft banqueting table bolsters time-honoured family gatherings with stately ease. The Dining Hall’s wooden beams and arrow slit windows lend a majestic air to this rustic, dignified space. Break bread and swap stories by candlelight to the crackle of a roaring log fire before retiring to the large, inviting sofas, conveniently situated in the Dante Drawing Room next door.

Casual Dining

The light and airy first floor Family Kitchen is a charming place for casual dining. Elegant yet comfortable furniture, a fully serviced kitchen and beautiful chianche stonework make this a lovely place for parents to relax, while children dine on their own tables and chairs, either inside, or outside on the terrace within eyesight. The Family kitchen is connected to the library and TV room, making this the perfect place wait out the occasional downpour.

Al fresco Dining

Whether you lose yourself over a cup of coffee and the sweeping sea view from the Breakfast Terrace, take lunch at the Pool Terrace Kitchen after a preprandial dip, watch sunset over the olive groves with a cocktail from the Rooftop Terrace, or do all of the above in the reverse order, bliss will inevitably ensue. Outdoor dining is arguably the most enjoyable way to take in the delights of the Petrarolo estate. There are many places to dine al fresco at Masseria Petrarolo, all of them blessed with breathtaking views. A picnic at your favourite spot along our meandering pathways or dinner under the ancient olive groves and stars can be arranged with a day’s notice.

Local Produce

The diversity of the estate yields a bounty of fresh produce, enabling our talented chef to source his organic fruit, vegetables and herbs from within the Petrarolo estate daily. The stunning simplicity of the local cuisine is rendered sublime by the quality and strength of our produce. Olive oil, artichokes, tomatoes and mushrooms are some of our favourite classic Apulian ingredients. While staying at Masseria Petrarolo you will sample Limoncello made with lemons from the Agrumeto Citrus Grove, jams made with fruit from the orchard, honey from the Petrarolo beehives, and the house Passata made from our plump Kitchen Garden tomatoes. What indulgent sojourn would be complete without some refined yet hearty feasting?
